In our previous blog article, we already presented the project in which a new, intelligent search solution supports agricultural research work.
The second phase of the project has also been completed, thus the intelligent agricultural search engine is now publicly available for free. The solution is of great help primarily to professionals working in agriculture industry, but at the same time it also facilitates getting information for those interested in the topic.
Up-to-date content is guaranteed by the continuous collection of available professional articles from several online sources. Currently more than 15,000 professional contents have been collected and thus become searchable.
The particularly useful search interface for professionals working in agriculture is now available on Agri-food website. After entering the term to be searched for in the search field and pressing the magnifying glass (or the Enter key), the user is redirected to the advanced search interface. Performing new searches are also feasible without restraint.
The advanced search solution eases finding relevant contents with numerous functions. The results can be narrowed down by source, author, category, label or publication date. Sorting can also be done by date, relevance score or document name. Complex searches can also be compiled on the user interface, even by specifying several search terms and their relations.
In the result column, user gets a brief overview of the article. The author, date, and the source are also highlighted. By clicking on the title of the article, the original content becomes available.The search interface was implemented by integrating TAS Enterprise Search engine, which is part of Precognox’s text analytics system. Relevant professional contents
On the search page, users can currently search among publications collected from 20 data sources.
The data collection process is now accomplished by the professionals working at the MATE Kaposvár Campus since they have successfully completed the data collection training organized by Precognox.
Continuous data collection is done using TAS Data Collector developed by Precognox.
