FAQ
We received a regulatory audit or a consumer protection complaint. What should we do?
As a first step, we need to understand the legal expectations and assess the current accessibility level of your digital platforms. In more complex legal scenarios, involving a specialized legal counsel alongside the assessment may also be justified.
Our partner or client expects our digital platform to be accessible. What is the first step?
The fastest solution is our audit service. The accessibility plan delivered alongside the audit acts as a practical roadmap, providing real-world examples and concrete recommendations instead of dry legal jargon.
Can you help fix the issues or do you only provide a report?
You decide how much you want to involve us in the implementation. We can actively participate in UX/UI design, source code remediation, and content optimization. This is highly beneficial when you need to move quickly. In the long run, we will teach you how to maintain accessibility compliance independently.
How quickly can we start remediation?
The accessibility plan is completed within 2 weeks, after which practical work can begin immediately. If urgent intervention is required, we can support you with dedicated developer and designer capacity, as well as digital document remediation (such as PDFs).
How often should a WCAG audit be conducted?
It depends on how deeply accessibility is embedded into your organization’s culture. With Deque’s technology and properly trained teams, accessibility becomes sustainable. However, conducting an audit is highly recommended in the following cases:
-
When you need to demonstrate visible improvement quickly, such as during a regulatory inspection or in response to a customer complaint.
-
If you are launching a completely new digital product and continuous accessibility testing was not performed during the development phase.
-
If your company has newly become subject to the EAA (European Accessibility Act) and wants to ensure full legal compliance.
