What is “AI-First” exactly? The “AI-First” approach means you play a key role in designing and building products and workflows where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not a supplementary tool, but the central element of the system. This involves knowing how to design AI-heavy products end-to-end: data strategy, model integration, evaluation loops, and writing crystal-clear specifications that let AI do most of the mechanical coding, while human resources focus on correctness, User Experience (UX), and alignment with business goals.
Main Tasks – What will you be dealing with?
AI-based System Design: Designing systems built around LLM APIs, vector stores, and observability for AI behavior, utilizing the latest technologies. Optimizing Development Workflows: Designing and implementing specifications, tests, and review processes that maximize the efficiency of AI tools (e.g., Copilot). Data Strategy and Evaluation: Managing the full lifecycle of AI-heavy products, including developing data strategy, model integration, and setting up continuous evaluation loops. Technology Coaching and Safety: Mentoring development teams on the safe and ethical use of AI tools, with a focus on preventing license/secret leakage and maintaining code quality.

Qualifications and skills required for the position
- Senior-level experience in software architecture and team leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of AI-first system design (data pipelines, LLMs/agents, orchestration, prompt hygiene).
- Solid engineering foundations (clean code, code review, refactoring, test design).
- Practical experience in the secure application of AI-assisted tools (e.g., IDE assistants, AI-enhanced CI/CD).
- Knowledge in at least one, but ideally multiple, key languages (Java, Python, TypeScript).
- Fluent English knowledge, both spoken and written. (This is essential for communicating with our international and intercontinental clients)
- Broad experience with technologies used by Precognox
