AI Summit Budapest is a series of events that gives interested parties and experts the opportunity to learn more about the world of artificial intelligence. The event was first held in 2023 by Indamedia – a digital media company. Based on the outstanding success, we can be sure that the AI Summit will be one of the most decisive innovation events in the East-Central European region in the future. This year, our company was able to participate in the event as an exhibitor, and our CEO was also among the speakers. It was a great opportunity to learn new and interesting information and to present our service, AI Readiness Assessment.
A glimpse into the situation of AI in Hungary
In Hungary, although the population is open to the use of artificial intelligence, few people use it. Based on the research of Public Groupe Hungary and GKID Research & Consulting, it was found that 79% of the respondents felt that they knew the concept of AI, however, during the practical utilization, they achieved only 3.9 points out of 10. Generation Z, on the other hand, is making more and more use of the opportunities offered by technology, while the older generation is only watching its progress with interest.
White-collar workers are increasingly experimenting with its use, but it can be said that its reliable use has not yet become commonplace. Based on the results of the AI Readiness Index, it can be said that the Hungarian population makes the most of AI during private use, followed only by technological utilization.
The Future of AI in Enterprise: Our Goals at the AI Summit
Our company founders Endre Jóföldi and Kása Károly, as well as our sales team, participated on both days of the event to provide interested parties with information on the possibilities of incorporating AI into the corporate environment. The integration of AI is still in its infancy, and in the eyes of many, it raises more questions than it answers. This understandably creates uncertainty in company managers, even though many AI assistants can now facilitate and at the same time speed up certain areas of everyday work, which until now involved a significant investment of time and energy.
The main objective of our colleagues during the AI Summit was to dispel skeptical attitudes and highlight that artificial intelligence is not just a temporary wave, but the next step in the technological development of humanity, which has many uses, and not only available to mammoth companies.
AI as a new collaborator? Yes!
Small and medium-sized companies are more and more open to AI integration, but our conclusions and experiences drawn after discussions with several company managers and seminars, meetups or even expos show that, in addition to the experts in the field, the average person does not yet have the adequate amount of information provided by AI technology about possibilities. Events like the AI Summit try to fill the gaps that currently exist between supporters and adopters of artificial intelligence.
There will be more work to do with this, there is no doubt about that. As Endre stated during his previous presentation at the MI Expo: Artificial intelligence-based solutions are not 100%, but it is true that we humans are not either.
Every week, businesses or “experts” appear who suddenly, riding the AI trend, offer lightning courses and automation in company processes that leave everything behind. With 16 years of experience in artificial intelligence behind us, we do not make such commitments that promise the likes of quick hits and stars.
Pitfalls of incorporating AI: Without survey and strategy, there is no result
The company integrates AI irresponsibly, ignoring any preliminary, serious assessment
environment, it will not be able to bring the efficiency that we would expect from it, in fact.
It is worth considering whether artificial intelligence should be incorporated at all in order to automate our workplace processes, and if so, to what extent. As Endre said at the Museum of Ethnography in “After the Honeymoon: What is AI good for in the SME sector?” in his lecture entitled: “If you cooperate with companies (B2B), talking to your customers is the most value-creating thing you can do” For them, communication with AI can be a cause of resentment and dissatisfaction.
As Magdolna Szabó Györgyei wrote in her article summarizing the AI Summit:
“One of the most striking AI definitions was already given at the first presentation by Endre Jóföldi (Precognox). According to him, artificial intelligence is now like the tigers of drug lords before. Just as they didn’t know what a tiger was really good for, most people now also have no idea about the benefits of AI. They only know and hear that efficiency can be increased with it, so they feverishly search for ways to implement it in their own lives and in their company.”
OK, I get it: AI is useful to me, but you can not hit it in the middle. Where should I start?
As a starting step, we would outline two paths for those who would take the first step on the path of artificial intelligence: First, get informed! Visit or listen afterwards to the speakers who, on a broad spectrum, offer a broad perspective and try to educate the receptive public about the opportunities and possible dangers of AI.
The other way can be said to be more advanced: Ask for expert advice if you feel that your business can be optimized! Today, the integration of AI into business activities is not considered a luxury, but a next step. Our experts provide a comprehensive assessment of your company’s current systems, most critical work processes and data infrastructure. The purpose of this is to assess your organization’s readiness for AI integration. We provide information for CEOs and business leaders who want to improve their operational efficiency and decision-making with the help of AI. IT managers and experts who need experiential advice for their internal artificial intelligence initiatives can contact us. In addition, we can provide assistance to organizations that are at different stages of digital transformation, from beginners to those who just want to refine their artificial intelligence strategy.
Remove uncertainty, optimize operations. Is your business AI ready?
