  • AODA: The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is a law established in Ontario, Canada to enforce accessibility standards for government, businesses, nonprofits, private and public sector organizations.
  • EAA: The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a directive of the European Union that aims to improve accessibility across all 27 EU member states and for the organizations doing business there.
  • EN 301 549: EN 301 549 is the European standard of Accessibility requirements for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) products and services in the European Union.
  • Section 508: Section 508 is a sub-section of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in federal programs or programs receiving federal aid or employment in the United States.
  • WCAG: The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) were developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Several staff members from our partner, Deque, actively participate in its working groups.
