Under the leadership of Precognox, the research and development project titled “Development of an AI-powered Digital Medical Assistant Application for Telemedicine and Other Medical Systems” (identifier: 2024-1.1.1-KKV_FÓKUSZ-2024-00085) has been launched. The goal of the project is to create a technology that can significantly support the functioning of the healthcare system.
An urgent problem –
A technological response
The everyday operation of healthcare worldwide is characterized by a shortage of skilled professionals, the increasing administrative burden on doctors, and the risk of burnout. Precise and detailed documentation is indispensable in patient care; however, it requires significant time investment, especially with the growing prevalence of telemedicine. This challenge justifies the development of a system capable of automatically recording doctor–patient consultations and transforming them into structured, professionally appropriate medical documentation.
From speech to documentation
– powered by an Intelligent backend
The project will create a service that uses speech recognition, natural language processing, and machine learning to record consultations and then convert them into concise, structured minutes. The processed data will not only be searchable and storable but will also be suitable for medical decision support – for example, previous test results or diagnoses can be automatically displayed during the consultation.
The technological foundation of the development is our company’s previously created AILINA language analysis system, which is already capable of interpreting free-text content. Within the framework of the project, this solution will be adapted for healthcare purposes, enabling it to effectively handle information generated from spoken communication as well.

Wide integrability, practical benefits
The aim of the Digital Medical Assistant solution is to be easily integrable into various healthcare IT systems, while significantly reducing the administrative time required for doctor–patient encounters. It enhances the accuracy of documentation and indirectly contributes to improving the quality of patient care.
Consortium collaboration and support
The project is led by Precognox Ltd. with Asseco Central Europe Hungary Zrt. and the University of Pannonia participating as consortium partners. The 36-month research and development work is being carried out with the support of the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, with a total budget of HUF 666,103,601, of which HUF 473,368,383 is a non-refundable grant.
