Who are we?
Our software development company was founded by Endre Jóföldi and Károly Kása, who began working at the end of 2001 for the NIH (National Institutes of Health, USA) on the development of ToxSeek toxicology and other search tools, as well as linguistic applications. Building on the experience they gained, they established our company in 2008 to better serve a growing number of international and Hungarian clients.
We have a stable team with low turnover, which our clients greatly appreciate – as it allows us to finish projects with the same people who started them.
Our team
Our team is continuously growing, and many of our colleagues have been strengthening our community for years – a result of our people-centered approach. Our development team is supported by a dedicated QA department to ensure outstanding quality, while our DevOps team works to maintain system stability. Since 2023, our UX/UI designers have also contributed to completing our range of services.
Professional development and innovation are key to us: our developers regularly hold internal trainings and we often organize informal team gatherings as well. Open communication and a culture of feedback play a central role in our operations – supported by satisfaction measurement systems and regular one-on-one conversations.

The origin of our name
The name Precognox originates from the word “precog”, referring to the beings in the film Minority Report who were able to foresee crimes before they actually happened. In a similar way, our work with data is not necessarily about predicting the future, but about gaining faster and more accurate insights into the present – enabling informed and timely decision-making.

Project Manager Professional
We are proud to share the news of our colleague Zoltán Faragó’s achievement. This year, Zoli successfully earned his PMP (Project Manager Professional) certification after a long process of dedication and preparation.
Here’s how he described the journey:
“When Precognox adopted a new strategic direction and we planned our entry into the U.S. market, the PMP certification became even more important. It is globally recognized as the most significant professional certification in project management, and it’s often referred to as the ‘gold standard’.”
Since 2023, Zoli has been persistently preparing for the exam. He attended preparatory courses, took practice tests, and finally, in 2024, his hard work paid off. However, the work doesn’t stop here—over the next three years, Zoli will need to earn points through self-study to maintain his certification.
